A Burnaby with 66 years of service has just received a prestigious award.
Columbia Skylights, located on Tillicum Street in Burnaby, has just been awarded the 2021 ENERGY STAR Canada Sustained Excellence Award.
Columbia is the first skylight manufacturer or distributor in Canada to receive this award.
“We are extremely proud to receive this prestigious award,” says Michael Williams, president of Columbia Manufacturing. “We have been producing superior high-performance skylights since 1955 and are honoured to accept this award in recognition of our commitment to developing products that meet the high expectations of today’s customer.”
Energy efficiency and sustainability are increasingly important to the Canadian homeowner.
“Every aspect of the skylight has been engineered and rigorously tested to the highest design specification,” said a news release. “Columbia is the only manufacturer to offer triple glazing across our entire skylight range – fixed, venting, standard or custom sizes. We also provide skylights with tinted glass options to reduce solar heat gain and visible light, in both dual and triple glazed configurations.”
Columbia uses the latest glass advances, argon gas filled triple glazing, along with innovative frame design to reach the standards set out by ENERGY STAR Canada.
