42% of eligible Burnaby children have received one dose of COVID-19 vaccine

Burnaby continues to hold second-highest percentage rate in Fraser Health

Almost 30% of children aged 5-11 have received their first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine.

Eligible Burnaby children are continuing to get vaccinated against COVID-19, according to updated provincial data. 

According to the BCCDC COVID-19 surveillance dashboard, 42% of children aged 5-11, up from 39% on Dec. 23, 2021, have received their first dose against the virus as of Dec. 30, 2021. 

The only other city with a higher percentage rate is New Westminster, which currently sits at 46%.

  • Delta - 41%
  • Chilliwack - 27%
  • South Surrey/White Rock - 41%
  • Maple Ridge/Pitt Meadows - 35% 
  • Agassiz/Harrison - 23%
  • Mission - 23%
  • Abbotsford - 24%
  • Surrey - 26%
  • Langley - 32%
  • Hope - 16%

The Central Coast, located in Vancouver Coastal Health, has the highest rate in B.C. at 75% as of Dec. 30, 2021.
