The condition of a 46-year-old Burnaby woman has improved after she was hurt when a Tesla drove into Richmond's Chung Chun Korean Rice Hot Dog on Friday, according to police.

The woman was reported on Friday to be critically injured at the scene, but Richmond RCMP said on Monday that “her condition has been upgraded.”

The woman was inside the business when she was hurt.

The Tesla driver, who is 20 years old, was uninjured.

Drugs and alcohol are not considered to be factors in the crash.

Photos circulating on social media showed an "N" sign on the Tesla that was fully lodged into Chung Chun Rice Hot Dog.

It appears the car knocked over the front counter of the eatery at Westminster Highway and No. 3 Road.
