The H.R. MacMillan Space Centre invites earthlings to come dressed as their favourite Rebel or Empire character to this family Star Wars themed event. You can make your own glowing light saber and enjoy games, activities, and live demonstrations. In addition, the observatory will be open so that guests may view galaxies far, far away.

The Geekenders Presents A Nude Hope: A Sci-Fi Burlesque Adventure
The Rio Theatre is hosting three epic nights of Star Wars themed burlesque this May. Presented by the Geekenders theatre troupe, the sci-fi classic is playfully rebooted into a sensual two-act production. They encourage attendees to don their best Star Wars Costumes, too.

Star Wars Day | Vancouver Public Library – Central Library
The Vancouver Public Library invites local children to take part in, “fun Star Wars-themed activities and feel the power of the Force.” The Star Wars Day event is suitable for children from Grades kindergarten to 7.

The Return of the Golden Archies
The Princeton Pub is hosting an epic Star Wars pub night with prizes handed out to the best dressed attendees. The Golden Archies will play rock hits from the ’60s to the present throughout the evening. The organizers recommend that guests come early to get a ring-side seat.

Star Wars Day | Burnaby Public Library – Cameron Branch
From Star Wars origami to a Star Wars scavenger hunt, the Cameron Branch of the Burnaby Public Library offers a number of fun things to enjoy on the big day. There will also be a photo booth, sing-a-longs, and a screening of Star Wars: The Last Jedi.

Star Wars Day | Burnaby Public Library – Tommy Douglas Branch
In celebration of Star Wars Day the Burnaby Public Library’s Tommy Douglas Branch will screen Solo: A Star Wars Story at 10:30 am and The Force Awakens at 2 pm. Drop-ins are welcome and there is no fee.

Star Wars 80s Party
The Astoria is hosting an awesome Star Wars instalment of their popular Galaxion 80s night. The sci-fi fiesta will include Star Wars visuals, retro games all set to sci-fi and space games, and prizes for best Star Wars costumes.

Star Wars Trivia
While it doesn’t take place on May 4, this instalment of Tipsy Trivia is everything Star Wars. Questions range in difficulty from ‘What is the name of Lukes uncle?’ to ‘ What world’s surrounding system contained an area of space the Rebels called Sector 47?’ What’s more, the top 3 teams receive hundreds of dollars in Star Wars prizing and gift cards.
