If you are heading out driving in Burnaby today, there is one place you absolutely must avoid.
I learned this the hard way by turning onto Lougheed Highway in North Burnaby at 2:45 p.m.
The intersection of Lougheed and Boundary Road is bad right now due to a construction project. Police are now on the scene trying to direct traffic, but there are long lines in all directions.
Avoid. This. Intersection.
I was stuck for more than 20 minutes a line I couldn’t get out of – a line that just wasn’t moving at all.
I’m not sure how long traffic will be disrupted, but take precautions.
