The former Seaforth Elementary student recently accepted a two-year scholarship offer from the Texas school located 45 minutes south of Dallas.

Bailey, who graduated from Burnaby Mountain this summer after a distinguished basketball career for the Lions, will be off to Texas next week with his family to get settled and ready for the upcoming college basketball season.

According to a search on the school's official website at www.navarrocollege.edu, the Runnin' Bulldogs finished 20-11-1 last season and feature a mid-size quick team coached by Johnny Estelle.

Bailey has made some nice strides in his game, as he has played for Basketball B.C.'s u-15 and u-16 squads in the past and was a starter for the Lions since Grade 10. He was also a second-team all-star at the 2010 Lower Mainland zone tournament.

In 2010, Bailey told the Burnaby NOW that he needs to bulk up and get into the weight room. What may have impressed Navarro College recruiters was Bailey's athleticism, as he has been able to dunk a basketball since the summer after Grade 9.
