BCIT has closed its doors for the afternoon because of snow.
The technical institute put out a bulletin at 12:30 p.m. saying all part-time and full-time classes and exams were cancelled for the remainder of the day.
“We ask all students, staff, and faculty to safely make their way off campuses,” stated the message.
The school will continue to monitor the weather and provide a new update on campus conditions by 5:30 a.m. on Feb. 5 at bcit.ca/breakingnews.
Simon Fraser University cancelled all of its classes for the day first thing in the morning.
Environment Canada issued a snowfall warning Tuesday, predicting 5 to 20 centimetres of snow by Tuesday night or Wednesday morning.
