The Burnaby RCMP is hosting an information session May 30 for those interested in joining the Block Watch program.
According to a press release, the local detachment is "actively recruiting new Block Watch teams to help reduce crime in the City of Burnaby."
Block Watch participants work with the RCMP, sharing information on community activity and public safety concerns. Program captains and participants are provided with information on crime trends in their area as well as educational materials.
The information session will run from 6 to 8 p.m. at Burnaby City Hall in council chambers. Anyone interested in attending is asked to register by May 17 at [email protected].
