Two Burnaby creeks are being fixed up after contractors were selected for the projects. Gray Creek between Clinton and Portland streets is being restored and stabilized, including buttressing of eroded embankments, according to a city staff report.

Gray Creek between Clinton and Portland streets is being restored and stabilized, including buttressing of eroded embankments, according to a city staff report.

The $905,391 contract for the work went to North Construction Ltd.

Cedar Creek is being stabilized, including tree removal and clearing. About 12,000 tonnes of granular materials will be used as part of the project, according to a city staff report.

The $1.25-million contract for the project went to Tybo Contracting Ltd.

The funding is included in the city’s 2015-2019 financial plan.
