Burnaby employers have been included among some of B.C.'s best.
Mediacorp Canada Inc., which also organizes Canada's yearly top 100 employers project, has revealed British Columbia's Top Employers for 2023.

"This year's winners are exploring ways of recognizing employees that go beyond compensation in meaningful ways," managing project editor of Canada's Top 100 Employers Kristina Leung said in a news release.
"Providing additional time off as a bonus, for example, is invaluable for someone who wants to spend more time with their family. Helping employees fulfill lifelong dreams or celebrating milestones like a marriage or the birth of a child demonstrate that an employer is committed to an employee's success both at work and at home."
B.C. employers are evaluated by the editors of Canada's Top 100 Employers using the same criteria as the national competition, including the following factors:

- Vacation and time off
- Employee Communications
- Performance management
- Training and skills development
- Community involvement
BCIT was also recently recognized as one of Canada's best employers for the second straight year in Fobes magazine's annual list.
