Burnaby’s extreme weather homeless shelter will be open for the next week. With snow in the forecast the Burnaby extreme weather response team has announced sheltering spaces for those who sleep outside will be available from Feb. 22 to March 1 at Westminster Bible Chapel, 7540 Sixth St.
The shelter’s doors will open at 7 p.m. daily. The church is on the 106 bus line from Metrotown and the 123 line from Brentwood. The shelter’s phone number during sheltering hours is 778-384-6486.
