What would our federal leaders do with the CBC if they were prime minister?
That's what Green party leader Elizabeth May will talk about at an upcoming Burnaby event, hosted by Friends of Canadian Broadcasting.
The event is on Monday, March 2 at 6:30 p.m at the McGill library branch. May won't actually be present, but she will talk about the Green party's policies relating to the CBC, via webcast. Don Newman, former CTV and CBC correspondent, is hosting the talk with May.
Friends of Canadian Broadcasting is organizing a series of talks with leaders from the federal parties, and May is the second to participate. Refreshments will be served, and admission is free.
Friends of Canadian Broadcasting is a non-partisan watchdog group interested in defending and enhancing Canadian programming. Friends of Canadian Broadcasting members from the Burnaby North-Seymour federal riding are hosting the Burnaby talk on March 2.
