A company has volunteer to decorate trees with thousands of lights at Burnaby Hospital as a way to say thank you to health-care workers.
“Giving patients and those working on the front lines something to look forward to when the sun goes down is something we take great pride in,” says Brett Carter, manager at FestiLight.
Burnaby General, Lions Gate, and Victoria General Hospitals are the first to be lit and will remain glimmering until the COVID-19 pandemic is behind us. Hearts of lights handmade by FestiLight will also be added in front of the decorated trees.
For those who would like to show solidarity by placing a lighted 30-inch heart in their garden or on their balcony, FestiLight has them available in several different colours for $95 each. Contact [email protected] to order.
“This is our way of saying thank you to healthcare heroes on the front lines, who are going to see us through this thing. We are forever indebted to them,” says founder Daniel Cowan.
