Burnaby legion to host ceremony to remember Queen Elizabeth

The ceremony will take place at the South Burnaby Cenotaph on Monday.

The Burnaby Legion is commemorating Queen Elizabeth at the South Burnaby Cenotaph on Sept. 19.

The South Burnaby Legion Branch 83 is holding a commemorative ceremony for Queen Elizabeth II on Sept. 19.

At the South Burnaby Cenotaph, the legion will host the ceremony at 10:30 a.m. with two minutes of silence at 11 a.m.

The event will begin with a bagpiper and drummer escorting the Legion 83 colour party, according to Steve Jeske, president of the South Burnaby legion branch.

A vocalist and bugler will also play music for the ceremony.
