A Burnaby man was arrested in Port Moody in connection with a string of robberies across the Lower Mainland.
The 33-year-old is alleged to have committed 15 robberies at fast food restaurants and liquor stores between Oct. 11 and Dec. 10. During the robberies, the suspect, armed with a firearm, would demand money.
After an extensive investigation involving RCMP officers from Coquitlam, Burnaby, Langley and North Vancouver, as well as the Vancouver and West Vancouver police, the suspect was located and arrested in Port Moody on Dec. 13. At the time of his arrest, police said the man was in a car with a woman and an imitation handgun was recovered from inside the vehicle.
Michael Nobbs is charged with 15 counts of robbery and 13 counts of using a firearm in the commission of an offence. He remains in custody until his next court appearance.
