Burnaby man charged with attempted murder

A 22-year-old Burnaby man has been charged with attempted murder after allegedly stabbing a woman in her throat. Burnaby RCMP announced the charges on May 14 in relation to an incident that happened last weekend.

According to a media release, around 9 p.m. on May 11 police were called to a home in the 6900-block of Adair Street.

When officers arrived on scene they found a woman bleeding from stab wounds in her neck and head.

The woman had fled from her own home to that of a neighbour's after an alleged argument with her partner led to the attack, the release stated. By this time, the suspect had fled the scene but was later located and arrested by Coquitlam RCMP.

Burnaby RCMP have charged Lorne Rose with attempted murder and breach of bail violations. [email protected]
