The Vancouver Police Department announced Monday that Crown counsel has approved two charges against 21-year-old Burnaby resident Dustin Anderson in relation to the June 15 Stanley Cup riot.
The Crown approved charges of participating in a riot and assault against Anderson.
This brings the total number of Crown-approved charges to 77 against 30 alleged rioters.
The Integrated Riot Investigation Team has recommended to Crown 215 charges against 80 alleged rioters.
"As we enter into 2012, the team has only one resolution," Insp. Les Yeo said in a press release, "and that is to continue to bring rioters to justice for their part on June 15."
