The body of the 20-year-old Burnaby man was found around 6:30 p.m. on Dec. 12 between several homes in a residential area near the Fraserview Golf Course, according to a media release from the Vancouver Police Department.

The victim was known to police and allegedly associated with gangs and involved in drug trafficking, stated the release.

While it’s still early in the investigation, police believe the murder is not random and that, most likely, the murder was a targeted incident.
