Local singer and winner of the 2009 Burnaby's Got Talent Competition, Stephen Scaccia's star keeps rising.

Tomorrow, (Oct. 19) Scaccia will sing the national anthem and also perform during the B.C. Lion's versus the Edmonton Eskimos halftime show at B.C. Place.

The up-and-coming singer has been promoting breast cancer awareness through sales of his demo CD, and will continue his campaign as the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation B.C./Yukon has partnered with the B.C. Lions to promote awareness and raise funds for research.

Scaccia's enthusiasm has no doubt been bolstered by his recent encounter and unexpected duet with his idol, Michael Bubl. While performing a Bubl number at the grand opening of the G&F Financial Credit Union in the Heights, Scaccia met the multi-award winning singer who happened to be in attendance, and who jumped on stage to join him for a few bars.

As if that wasn't enough of a dream come true for the 20-year old, Scaccia was invited to join Bubl a second time during the taping of Bubl's latest Christmas special. Once again, Scaccia was invited to take the stage with his idol to sing Bubl's hit single Haven't Met You Yet.

Catch the young crooner's performance at the game tomorrow starting at 7 p.m. or on TV during the nationally-televised event.
