A 19-year-old Burnaby man is facing two counts of trafficking a controlled substance after an investigation by Richmond RCMP.
In June 2014, police began investigating a drug line operating out of Richmond. The drug traffickers were allegedly selling cocaine, crack cocaine and heroin. During the course of the investigation, eight suspects were identified, and on April 21, Richmond Mounties arrested two of these suspects – Randy Rothman and Tobias Zhuang.
Charges have since been approved against the eight suspects, including two counts of trafficking a controlled substance against Burnaby resident Elsie Sevim Yucesoy.
On Friday, June 12, Richmond RCMP announced that Zhuang, Randy Bryan Geddes, Alexander Yamamoto and Timothy Austin Yeung had been arrested. They are facing a slew of charges, including possession and trafficking of a controlled substance.
Zhuang, Yamamoto and Yeung are all residents of Richmond. Geddes is a resident of Vancouver.
Meanwhile, Yucesoy remains at large, along with three other suspects – Rothman, 46, charged with seven counts of trafficking a controlled substance and one count of possession with the purpose of trafficking; Tsen Chen Hsia, 28, charged with two counts of trafficking a controlled substance; and Desmond Shum, 19, charged with four counts of trafficking a controlled substance.
Rothman, Hsia and Shum are all residents of Richmond.
