Burnaby-based Williams and White Machine Inc. was named Best Company at the ninth annual Successful You Small Business B.C. awards on Tuesday night.
The family-owned manufacturing company, which has been in Burnaby for more than 50 years, was a finalist in the Best Company and Best Employer categories.
Vancouver's Eclipse Awards company won in the Best Employer category.
The other finalists in the Best Company category were Vij's Restaurant, Idea Rebel and AspenClean in Vancouver, and Discover Trekking Outfitters Ltd. in Campbell River.
In the Best Employer category, the other finalists were Nurses Next Door Home Care Services and The Elements Society in Vancouver, and Tinhorn Creek Vineyards in Oliver.
The winners were announced at the awards ceremony held at the Pan Pacific Hotel in Vancouver last night.
The keynote speaker was former Canuck Trevor Linden.
