Burnaby Mayor Mike Hurley has been chosen to be the chair of housing on the Metro Vancouver 2022 Standing Committee.
City of Burnaby Coun. Sav Dhaliwal was acclaimed as chair of the Metro Vancouver Board of Directors for a fourth consecutive term last month.
He's joined by City of North Vancouver Mayor Linda Buchanan, who is also serving her fourth consecutive term as vice-chair.
The pair also hold the roles in the same positions for the Greater Vancouver Sewerage Drainage District, the Greater Vancouver Water District and the Metro Vancouver Housing Corporation.
The Metro Vancouver board of directors elect a chair and vice-chair annually for one-year terms.
Dhaliwal announced today (Dec. 15) the standing committee structure and appointments for 2022, which includes Mike Hurley.
