A Pride rainbow will greet visitors and employees arriving at the Liquor Distribution Branch’s office in Burnaby at Canada Way and Gilmore for the next few weeks.
The installation was unveiled by general manager Blain Lawson and Elizabeth McGowan of Burnaby Pride on Tuesday.
“This installation represents a major commitment for the LDB to openly celebrate cultural and societal diversity within our communities,” said Lawson. “Respect is one of our core values, and we pride ourselves on being an inclusive and supportive workplace that encourages cultural and societal diversity. We encourage our workforce to be their authentic selves every day, and to share their cultural differences with their peers.”
Employees and visitors are being encouraged to take selfies with the installation, which will be in place through the month of August.
