Burnaby RCMP investigate home invasion

The Burnaby RCMP are looking for the public's help after a Friday afternoon home invasion in the 6100 block of Denbigh Avenue. Just before 3 p.m.

The Burnaby RCMP are looking for the public's help after a Friday afternoon home invasion in the 6100 block of Denbigh Avenue.

Just before 3 p.m., three men forced their way into the house, where they assaulted an elderly man and robbed two other occupants of their cellphones.

The three suspects are described as Caucasian males in their thirties, all wearing black clothing.

Two of the three were had on black ski masks and were both noticeably taller than the third man.

The tallest man was described as slim and approximately 5-11 or 6 feet tall.

The two taller men also were brandishing weapons, including a metal object, approximately 13 centimetres in length, which may have been a hammer, and a knife.

The shortest man was wearing a baseball cap with gold on it. He is described as approximately 5-7 tall and he had brown curly hair.

The three men were last seen leaving in a white Nissan bearing a British Columbia licence plate that began with 22.
