Burnaby Mounties are asking for the public’s help for any information following a shooting early Thursday morning.
The incident happened just before 1 a.m. when police were called for shots fired in the 6500 block of Sussex Avenue.
The RCMP said once on scene, officers did not find anyone in relation to the shots fired and there was no evidence anyone was injured.
Police are suggesting the shooting is not random.

“There are no suspects at this time and our Investigative Support Team are pursuing a number of investigational avenues. We are conducting a thorough examination of the area and patrol officers are canvassing the neighbourhood for witnesses and further evidence. We’re hoping that anyone with information will come forward and help us advance the investigation.”
