A 22-year-old man is in hospital with stab wounds and head injuries after a Wednesday evening incident.
According to Burnaby RCMP Cpl. Rick Skolrood, the man was admitted to Burnaby Hospital just after 8:30 p.m. and was later transferred to Royal Columbian Hospital in New Westminster.
The man's injuries were serious, but police expect him to recover.
"The victim was uncooperative with the police," said Skolrood in a press release. "(He) did state that he had been assaulted by several dark-skinned males at a pub on Kingsway, possibly in Vancouver. The Burnaby RCMP is still attempting to determine the exact location where the attack occurred."
