Police are investigating a crash that badly injured a motorcyclist in Burnaby Saturday evening.
Burnaby RCMP’s collision investigation team is looking into the collision between a motorcycle and a Mini Cooper at the intersection of Griffiths Drive and 18th Avenue just before 5 p.m.
The 28-year-old man who was driving the motorcycle is in “serious and possibly life-threatening condition in hospital,” police said in a news release.
The Cooper driver suffered only minor injuries.
The cause of the crash remains unknown, but investigators believe speed was a factor. Police say drugs and alcohol are not believed to have been a factor.
