If you were thinking of going near Deer Lake tonight, you might want to rethink your plans.
The Burnaby RCMP has issued a traffic alert for Wednesday night due to an event going on at Deer Lake.
According to a tweet from the RCMP, the following closures are in place for Deer Lake Avenue:
Eastbound from 5-7 p.m. and 9:30 to 11 p.m.
Westbound from 9:30 to 11 p.m.
This applies to all traffic except for transit and visitors to the main RCMP detachment.
