Burnaby RCMP looking for witnesses to crash that injured pedestrian

Burnaby RCMP would like to talk to anyone who witnessed an Edmonds-area incident that left a 53-year-old pedestrian with serious but not life-threatening injuries Sunday. Police were called to the 7700 block of 18th Avenue at about 3:15 p.m.

Burnaby RCMP would like to talk to anyone who witnessed an Edmonds-area incident that left a 53-year-old pedestrian with serious but not life-threatening injuries Sunday.

Police were called to the 7700 block of 18th Avenue at about 3:15 p.m. for reports that a woman had been hit by a vehicle.

The driver stayed on the scene, and the woman was taken to hospital.  

Police say speed and alcohol are not suspected as factors in the crash.

“The cause of the collision is still under investigation, and Burnaby RCMP is asking anyone who witnessed this collision or may have any dashcam or home surveillance video of the collision to contact police at 604-646-9999,” stated a RCMP press release.
