The Burnaby RCMP are asking for the public's help in locating 22-year-old Kayla Anne Koks.

Koks, an in-patient, went missing from Burnaby Hospital on May 19. Koks functions at the level of a 14-year-old and may be engaged in prostitution to support her addictions. Koks left the hospital wearing only a hospital gown.

Police have reason to believe that Koks may have injured herself from either broken glass or from jumping three floors to the ground.

Koks is described as a First Nations' female, 5-4 tall and weighing 141 lbs.

Koks was spotted at the Surrey Central SkyTrain station and bus loop on May 23.

According to police, this is an area which she is known to frequent, as her primary mode of transportation is public transit. Police also have reason to believe Koks has travelled to Victoria.

Police consider Koks to be a high-risk missing person because of her mental age, high-risk lifestyle and addictions.

Anyone knows of Koks' whereabouts is asked to contact the Burnaby RCMP at 604-294-7922 or people who wish to remain anonymous can call CrimeStoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
