The Central Park Horseshoe Club is looking for new members.

Members are in attendance Monday to Saturday between 1 and 2: 30 p.m. Wednesday evenings is fun night from 6 p.m. to dusk. Junior players, up to the age of 18, play for free.

The clubhouse is located in Central Park just east of the outdoor pool. For further information, call Jim at 604-553-3316.

Award winners

Burnaby Lake Rugby Club handed out is annual team awards recently.

Admir Cejvanovic and Joe Delesau were named the premier men's most valuable forward and back, respectively. Iona Schamberger and Devon Luca were the premier women's MVPs. Titus Lee and Aleisha Homes were awarded their respective rookie of the year titles.

Soccer seniors

A 50-and-older women's soccer team will be travelling to Torino, Italy for the World Masters Games in August.
