The Integrated Homicide Investigations Team has released the name of the woman killed in last week's Metrotown area homicide.

Bayush Hagos, 57, was killed in what police are calling a "domestic dispute" just before 6:30 a.m. on Thursday Sept. 1 at the Park Avenue Towers at 4134 Maywood St.

A second woman police have named as a suspect was arrested at the scene and taken to hospital to be treated for injuries. As of Wednesday, she remains in hospital and is still being "medically assessed," according to IHIT spokesperson Sgt. Jennifer Pound.

Police have not yet laid in charges in the death.

Pound said an autopsy has been done to determine the cause of death but no further details will be released until police have made a decision about potential charges.

Pound said friends of Hagos have been holding a vigil at her home to grieve and remember her since the killing.
