Burnaby RCMP is investigating a crash that sent a pedestrian to hospital with what appeared to be serious injuries, according to police.
Emergency responders were called to Imperial Street between Hersham and Humphries avenues at about 1:15 p.m. Wednesday, according to Burnaby RCMP Cpl. Mike Kalanj.
He said drivers can expect Imperial Street to be closed into the evening hours and should plan an alternate route.
“Burnaby RCMP will provide more information as the investigation unfolds,” Kalanj said in an emailed statement.
