With the bus drivers’ union threatening a system-wide strike from Wednesday to Friday next week, riders are looking at alternatives.
One group that faces a particularly difficult challenge are people who need to use Burnaby Hospital.
The Burnaby Hospital Foundation has tweeted out that its shuttle system could help people in case of a bus strike. It’s free to use.
The shuttle runs Monday to Friday from 5:40 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.
First pick up at 5:40 a.m. at Gilmore SkyTrain station, last pick up at Patterson SkyTrain station (to Burnaby Hospital) at 8:20 p.m.
Who uses it:
- Fraser Health and Lower Mainland health authority staff
- Physicians and medical students
