Car, replica handgun seized in Burnaby drug investigation

Two men, including one with a replica handgun tucked in his waistband, were arrested during the course of a drug dealing investigation in Burnaby Wednesday.

Two men, including one with a replica handgun tucked in his waistband, were arrested during the course of a drug dealing investigation in Burnaby Wednesday.

Drug section officers spotted the men engaged in “behaviour associated with drug trafficking” in the area of Imperial Street and Kingsway at about 1:20 p.m., according to Burnaby RCMP.

The officers stopped the men's car, and a search revealed the replica weapon, as well as multiple cell phones and $2,500 in cash   but no drugs.

The men were arrested at the scene and released pending further investigation.

The vehicle was also seized as part of the investigation, police said.
