Thousands of people turned out for the Edmonds City Fair on Sunday, despite the rain.

The event, which ran for five hours and closed down Edmonds Street between Canada Way and Kingsway, featured a talent show, classic car show, petting zoo and amusement rides and activities for the kids.

"A good time was had by all," said Coun. Paul McDonell, one of the organizers. "It sprinkled rain a little, but for the most part, the weather was pretty good and pretty comfortable."

Organizers are hosting their wrapup meeting today (Wednesday) to see what ways they can improve the event in 2013.
