Charter Lau is running with Burnaby Parents' Voice as a school trustee:
Charter Lau is the father of two lovely daughters. He and his wife fell in love with Burnaby when they came to Canada 20 years ago. Charter studied design at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University and runs his own video production business. He volunteers serving meals to Downtown Eastside residents, working with a campaign against sexual abuse of children, acting as a trustee with a legal defense fund for victims of unjust child removal, and providing technical expertise for the Parents for Democracy in Education Society.
Charter values a balanced approach to controversial issues. He stands against all forms of discrimination and bullying, seeking safety and respect for all. He believes our democratically elected school board will find wisdom listening to students and parents.
