Cineplex closes its Burnaby theatre due to COVID-19

There’s no going to the movies in Burnaby for a while thanks to the COVID-19 pandemic. Cineplex announced tonight that it was closing all of its Canadian theatres, including screens at Metropolis at Metrotown.

There’s no going to the movies in Burnaby for a while thanks to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Cineplex announced tonight that it was closing all of its Canadian theatres, including screens at Metropolis at Metrotown.

The shutdown will run from now until April 2, although it’s unclear if that date will be extended.

All seats that have been booked will be refunded.
