Deborah Skerry is ready to serve the community. 

QUESTION: When did you decide to run for the City of Burnaby byelection?

ANSWER: I decided to run in the byelection when I heard there would be one. 

QUESTION: Why did you decide to run for the City of Burnaby byelection?

ANSWER: I wanted to serve my local community. 

QUESTION: What do you think is needed on city council the most? What do you think it’s missing/lacking?

ANSWER: I think women are needed most to represent Burnaby. There is only one female at this time. 

QUESTION: Do you think there needs to be more diversity when it comes to Burnaby’s municipal government? If so, why?

ANSWER: I am not sure what you mean by this exactly. If it is an election then it should represent the voice of the people. With two residential supporters, a person can run. Thus, it should be fair, free and open to all. 

QUESTION: What issues do you think need to be tackled the most in Burnaby?

ANSWER: I love Burnaby, I hope to have a chance to look at the potential for introducing 10$ daycare. 

I am interested in issues surrounding access for all mobilities, and the needs of seniors. 

QUESTION: Why should voters vote for you?

ANSWER: I am honest, dedicated and hard working. 

QUESTION: What would you say to those who may not want to vote or don’t really see a point?

ANSWER: I believe the democratic process is precious. It is never to be taken lightly. Please, vote.
