Chad Turpin, Burnaby’s deputy city manager, was recently recognized for his years of service to the city.
“I have the pleasure tonight of congratulating our deputy city manager, Chad Turpin, who was recently honoured by the Canadian Association of Municipal Administrators for his 30 years of municipal service in a management capacity,” Burnaby Mayor Derek Corrigan announced at the July 8 council meeting.
Turpin has worked for the city for 43 years, starting as an internal auditor and working his way up through the city clerk’s office.
“Chad hasn’t just brought business acumen to his role, he has an equal measure of genuine concern for and interest in Burnaby staff and citizens,” Corrigan said, regarding Turpin’s accessibility and friendliness.
