The SFU Clan's long NCAA nightmare continued on Saturday in Ellensburg, Washington as the Clan dropped to 04 in the Great Northwest Athletic Conference with a 37-17 loss to the Central Washington Wildcats.

The Wildcats coasted to the their first GNAC win of the season, running out to a 37-3 lead before letting their foot off the gas.

SFU scored the final two touchdowns of the game to make the score respectable.

The Wildcats were led by junior quarterback Ryan Robertson, who engineering four touchdowns, including two TD passes to Justin Helwedge, from eight and 49 yards out.

Central Washington also got scores from running back Levi Taylor, who scored from 14 yards out and receiver Leon LaDeaux, who caught a 26yard strike from Robertson for the Wildcats' final touchdown.

Their scoring was completed by two Sean Davis field goals, from 48 and 27 yards out, and a final field goal from Josef Kistler.

The highlights for the Clan were few and far between, but they got an early field goal from Ian Sternau and two late touchdowns from Mathis Baumbach and Joseph Iatzko.

Baumbach's TD came after the Clan drove 61 yards on 14 plays, culminating in Clan QB Trey Wheeler finding his German receiver in the end zone.

Iatzko's touchdown came when the Clan stripped Wildcat running back Louis Davis and Iatzko returned it 71 yards for the Clan's second TD.

SFU will look for its firsts GNAC win of the year when it hosts Dixie State University at Fox Field this Saturday at 2 p.m.
