Cost jumps for two-bedroom rentals in Burnaby: report

Don't expect home prices in Burnaby to get cheaper anytime soon.

If you're looking to rent a two-bedroom apartment or suite in Burnaby, it's going to cost even more. 

According to the Rentals.ca National Rent Rankings for December 2021, the current price is roughly $2,414 and is an increase of 5.88% from last month and a 9.83% rise compared to a year ago. 

A one-bedroom in Burnaby will require $1,696 monthly, the report says. It's a decrease of 3.58% from last month and a drop of 0.47% from one year ago. 

Burnaby comes in at number 11 in the national rankings for this month. 

Vancouver remains the highest in Canada with the average price of a one-bedroom sitting at $2,312 with a drop of 3.79% compared to last month, but an increase of 7.73% compared to one year ago. 

A two-bedroom runs $2,998, which is a 1.93% decline monthly, but a whopping 10.71% increase from a year ago.
