The Burnaby RCMP is inviting all rental property owners, property managers and resident managers to attend an eight-hour crime-free multihousing workshop on April 17 to learn about the program, which aims to reduce criminal activity in the apartment community.
The program has three phases.
Phase 1 is an eight-hour workshop where valuable information is presented to help reduce crime and bring in good tenants.
Phase 2 is the security assessment of the property where recommendations are made to improve its safety.
Phase 3 is the safety social, where residents are presented with important crime prevention information.
Phase 1 is being held at the City of Burnaby council chambers at 4949 Canada Way from 8: 30 a.m. to 4: 30 p.m. on April 17.
Anyone interested in registering for this workshop is asked to contact the B.C. Crime Prevention Association at 604-501-9222.
