Crown counsel has approved 26 more charges against eight suspected rioters, including one Burnaby resident, according to a Vancouver Police Department press release.
Sean Yates, 22, of Burnaby, is facing charges of participating in a riot and assaulting a police officer.
Also charged Wednesday are five Surrey residents, along with one person each from Chilliwack and Comox.
In total, Crown counsel has now approved 103 charges against 38 people, all stemming from the June 15, 2011 Stanley Cup riot.
