A cyclist was sent to hospital after being struck by a vehicle on Cloverdale Avenue in Saanich on Thursday afternoon.
Saanich police were called at 3:40 p.m. to attend the crash on Cloverdale between Oak and Douglas streets.
The cyclist was transported to hospital with what police believe were “non-life-altering injuries.”
The cause of the collision is being investigated but police believe the driver may have suffered a medical emergency.
The driver was also taken to hospital, police said.
Traffic was backed up along Cloverdale Avenue while police investigated.
