Coast Capital Savings is offering Burnaby teens a one-of-a-kind paid internship opportunity as Youth Get It Interns.

Youth Get It Internships are open to Grade 11 and 12 students. Those selected for the 20 positions work as paid community ambassadors at various events across B.C. and as Member Service Representatives in Coast Capital Savings branches. Interns work part-time after school or on weekends during the school year and full time in the summer.

“Over its 25-year existence, the Youth Get It Intern program has helped launch the careers of hundreds of young people,” says Maureen Young, Director, Community Leadership, Coast Capital Savings. “While working for the credit union, Youth Get It Interns develop important life and career skills, including leadership, community relations, customer service and financial literacy, all of which will prepare our students for their future endeavours. If you are entering into Grade 11 or 12 in September 2019, have a knack for connecting with people, and enjoy being out-and-about at large events, then you should consider this unique opportunity.”

Coast Capital Savings’ Youth Get It Intern program has successfully kicked off many careers, including dozens of employees who have stayed on with Coast Capital Savings following their time as an intern.

Students can apply online, today, with a cover letter, resume, two written references and a copy of their most recent report card or transcript. Applications close on April 5, 2019. Interested applicants with any questions are asked to contact youthteam@coastcapitalsavings.com.
