If you grumbled about grabbing an umbrella and a raincoat to leave the house in Burnaby today, don't fret: summer weather will be back upon us soon enough.
Mother Nature has decided to throw a couple more "Juneuary" days at us — including today, where the temperature sits at just 12 C with light rain. It's forecast to stay at about 12 C all afternoon, with light rain amounting to 2 to 4 mm by the end of the day, according to the Weather Network.
Tuesday looks similar, albeit warmer, with a projected high of 16 C and the likelihood of about 1 to 3 mm of rain.
Wednesday may sneak up to about 19 C, with a mix of sun and clouds — and after that, summer weather is expected to make a return, just in time for actual summer.
Prepare for a mainly sunny Thursday with a high of 23 C that feels like 25 C, and a sunny Friday with a high of 25 C that feels like 28 C.
It could get even warmer heading into next week, as Sunday's high is projected to be 26 C, feeling like 30 C.
Meanwhile, the air quality in Burnaby continues to be good, with Metro Vancouver's AirMap reporting a health index of 2, or low risk.
