Rookie sports car driver Remo Ruscitti held down third place in the Pirelli World Challenge touring car races after a pair of podium finishes in Sonoma, California.
Ruscitti, who drives for the top Compass360 team, placed third in a Honda Civic Si in both touring car races behind American teammates Ryan Winchester and Brett Sandberg, who finished first and second in both races, respectively.
In the second race, Ruscitti caught Fred Emich on the final lap, passing the American in a Volkswagen Jetta on Turn 9, sneaking through for a second podium finish and a second straight C360 sweep.
"It was tough racing at the start because I had to come from behind," said Ruscitti in a World Challenge press release. "I almost had him in Turn 4. I made a mistake and he made a mistake, and I thought I was done. But I got run on him down the backstraight and he went inside and I went to the outside."
