Witnesses are being sought in a rollover crash in Burnaby that injured one person.

Burnaby RCMP’s Traffic Services Unit is continuing to investigate a collision that took place Thursday afternoon which resulted in one person being transported to hospital.
The crash took place at around 3:30 p.m. at Canada Way and 16th Avenue. At this time it appears that a Mini Cooper travelling on Canada Way collided with a Subaru causing the Subaru to flip onto its side, police said.
An occupant in the Subaru was taken to hospital and the driver of the Mini Cooper was arrested under suspicion of being impaired by drugs and was served a 24-hour driving prohibition.
“The investigation into this incident is continuing and today police are asking for anyone who witnessed this collision taking place or for anyone who has dashcam video and was in the area of Canada Way and 16th Avenue at around 3:30 p.m. to please contact police,” said a Burnaby RCMP news release. “Our officers who were on scene would also like to thank drivers in the area for their patience as the intersection was closed for three hours while the investigation was taking place.”
