Burnaby council approved a $1.2 million capital reserves bylaw to finance a re-roofing project for Eileen Dailly Pool at its April 8 meeting.
The roof at Eileen Dailly has experienced small leaks and has reached the end of its service life, according to an engineering report.
The 2013 provisional financial plan includes plans for replacing aging building components, the report states, and the pool's roof has been prioritized under the program.
Earlier this year, council approved $200,000 for upgrades at the pool.
